Living Life in “3D” Free Article
Nov 9th, 2009 | Categories: PotentialThe daily gift of life brings with it an additional special gift. Each day we are fortunate enough to rise, presenting us with a whole new world of opportunities. Each day gives us something wonderful. A second chance. What do we do with this opportunity? How do we extract value from this second chance? Even more importantly, an opportunity to create what? We have a second chance to do what?
Life does not take on any real value until you assign it purpose. All of us should have some goal or desire that energizes our existence. Without this goal, we simply float through our days. It’s sad, but it is possible to be alive without truly LIVING.
I recently discovered a fact that completely changed my life. I was living on the “other” side of my discovery of goals and purpose. I knew exactly what I wanted my life to resemble. I had more than a few mentors, affirmations, and vision boards of the lifestyle I desired. Yet, I was living in a state of constant frustration. I was well aware of what I wanted, but could not understand why I did not have it. How could I constantly visualize my goal and not realize my goal? Although the answer called me to the carpet, it changed my life for the better.
My greatest discovery was despite the millions of people who live otherwise, a life of abundance is not very difficult. Although there are thousands of different methods mankind has created for finding success, they all come back to the same principle. I have discovered it for myself as the 3D Formula. I remind myself daily of the “3 D” phrase that now guides me to fulfillment:
“The link between your DESIRE to get to any DESTINATION in life is your DECISION to go there.”
Simple, huh?
The only thing holding each of us back from the success we want is truly deciding that this is what we want and taking ACTION to make things happen. We can spend hours meditating on the life we want. We can visualize in the greatest detail what we want our lifestyle to be. We can write and speak exactly what our goals are on a daily basis. However, all those actions only prove that your desired lifestyle does exist. It cannot become a reality for YOU, until you consciously and subconsciously DECIDE that your stated goal is a future reality for you. It’s that decisive thought that becomes the actions that lead to your success.
I spent my entire life enjoying to read and write. I spent years dreaming of being a writer, months talking about becoming a writer, and weeks visualizing myself as a writer. I did not truly begin to become an author until the day I decided I was an author.
Muhammad Ali was once asked how he became the greatest fighter of all time. He simply responded, “I just said I was”.
What are your desires? What’s your goal? Make a decision today that your goal is your new reality. Remember, no place becomes a destination until you’ve decided to go there!
